The digital learning materials created for web and CD-Rom are to support the classroom lectures, designed to allow the content to be accessible to all students. There are text alternatives in the form of audio commentary for visually impaired students and BSL video clips for deaf support. A 'plain english' version of the text can be chosen and video clips have text transcripts. Typeface and colours are all chosen to aid legibility.

The new content management system enables curriculum teams and designated individuals to edit and update their own pages. Various layout options are provided for accessibility, the CSS layout making it easy to customise the page to suit the individual user.

The site includes a searchable calendar of events, homework timetables, a newsletter and fourteen mini sites for different subject areas. The CMS enables designated staff to update content for all sections. I worked closely with the programmer to integrate style sheets with the content management system.

A complex e-commerce site where customers, when registered, can search services by postcode, place an order, pay and track orders online. Agents can also register services and prices. I worked with a designer, programmer, and web architect.

School children from Manchester went on a field trip to Pompeii, video clips from the trip and student interviews are included with educational texts, interactive maps and 3D environments of pompeii houses. The 2 x CD set also contains interviews with experts in archeology.
